Projects

We invest the money we raise into organizations with years of experience to build sustainable, community-owned development projects that work for Pakistan. Our team works closely to ensure that every dollar is accounted for and then provides reports back to our donors. Through rigorous research and analysis, we have identified that the highest need areas, imperative for the development of Pakistan are: Education, Water, Energy and Health.

Each year, we receive around 40 proposals that are diligently evaluated, and less than 10% approximately 8-10 projects are approved for funding. We focus our investments on projects that lead to the greatest improvements in the lives of people from marginalized communities in Pakistan. Health strategy

Pakistan’s health profile is characterized by communicable and non-communicable diseases, high fertility, low life expectancy, a young age structure, high maternal and child mortality, high incidence of infectious and communicable diseases and wide prevalence of malnutrition among children and women. A majority of women still lack access to reproductive health services and the maternal mortality ratio is high at 260 per 100,000 live births; one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the region.

Water strategy

Almost 200,000 children die each year from unsafe water and sanitation, and 1/3 of all Pakistanis lack access to clean water. We believe clean water changes lives, and our mission is to provide clean drinking water to communities that struggle to meet this basic human need. Pakistan is geographically diverse in terrain and weather conditions each requiring a unique solution. To date we have funded 16 projects and have identified proven low cost solutions that can provide clean water to serve a diverse range of target communities.
